Challenge

The client is one of recognized brand in the global eyewear – sunglass industry and specializes in polarized sunglasses having patented lens technologies.

• To implement hybris e-Commerce solution to replace the existing WCS platform and move to a robust platform to complement their SAP backend

• The site is transactional for USA and Canada and non-transactional in 11 other nations with regional language and currencies of countries supported in one unified platform, along with the plan is to roll out other countries and make them transactional as well.

•  1Datagroup was contracted to do an end to end implementation ofthe ecommerce platform along with long term support and phase 1 was rolled out for North America with subsequent phases are in pipeline for other regions and other enhancements to North America.

• The focus of the project was on unifying the business processes and tools that support the ecommerce site and to go live along with new ERP transformation to SAP

• Client was also looking to revamp the existing look & feel of the site with a lot of content data to provide enriching and consistent brand experience to the customers across different form factors by making the site responsive

• 1Datagroup was contracted to do an End-to-end implementation of the B2C Commerce Platform Project development, integration, training and testing of Hybris and all third-party integrated applications along with long-term support along with contract to implement B2B and other sister brands

SOLUTION

1Datagroup did the end to end implementation for e-Commerce business transformation program.

•  E-commerce platform built using hybris B2C 5.X accelerator with responsive design framework to match digital consumer touch-points and integrated with SAP and other third party systems

•  B2C commerce activities through hybris including web, mobile/tablet and call center transactions in order to provide near real-time visibility into orders and customers with consistent brand and browsing experience.

•  Capture order information from all consumer sales channels in hybris and pass order details to SAP for order fulfillment system

 

Payment authorization performed through a third party Delego which speaks to Cybersource). Tax and Address Verification happens through a third party called Vertex.

•  Integrated the WCMS cockpit to efficiently leverage and manage media and digital assets for all form factors and devices.

• One of the first implementers in North America for Datahub. This was done to move Product, Price and Inventory data from SAP to hybris.

RESULTS

 

Optimized global e-Commerce architecture that resulted increased sales and reduced costs

•  Automated customer enrollment process which resulted in ease of customer registration and reduced the time taken for onboarding of the customers

•  Automated Prescription Eyewear process resulted in reduced fulfilment time for such orders

•  Consumer problems become visible quickly and consistently to facilitate resolution with an integrated Customer Care module

•  Due to enhanced inventory visibility, order failure or cancellation scenarios are reduced dramatically

•  Increase in order conversion rate due to new navigation structure and better search feature
